It can be intimidating when you are considering buying a home and bankers don't take the time to explain to you your options and how homeownership can mean a huge change in your monthly expenses. A very well written and well thought out book that anyone who is looking for a home, can pick up and learn valuable information. This book provides great insight and background knowledge the average person might not know about. This book is a fantastic resource for anyone thinking about home ownership and getting a mortgage in Canada. There is a lot of information that I did not know! How a mortgage application involves so much more than just your credit rating. Or how it is often wise to not take the full amount one might qualify for. Mr. Gbarazia has deep understanding and insight from working within the banking and mortgage loan industry, yet I felt like he was on my “team” and freely sharing his knowledge and insider tips. I really enjoyed his engaging writing and the many personal experiences he shares. There is a lot of information but it is concisely and clearly presented. And I really connected with the wisdom that shines through it all. Easy to read with great information
As a prospective home buyer the mortgage process has always been the most daunting. How do you GET approved? How do you know you're getting the best deal? Whats the true cost of a mortgage? This book has it all. It's layed out for an easy to read, easy to understand, one stop shop that answered all of my mortgage questions and I feel much more prepared when we start looking at homes and start talking to lenders. Tips and tricks to keep in mind for the most important purchase of your life
This was the book I needed. In this interest environment, it was very important to me to know as much about the mortgage industry before I renew my mortgage. When one is locking into a loan worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, the more insider tips and tricks one knows, the better position one will be in. I have never thought of my home as anything but an investment. Through Brighton's book, I am able to separate out what is emotional and what is rational. Thanks Brighton for all the knowledge.
